Husbands are awesome. Especially mine. I see his influence on the kids in the most random ways.
Yesterday I caught the 6 year old wrestling the 1 year old. Here's the exchange that followed:
6 y/o: "Mom, can I put him in a "gentle" headlock???" (Imagine him smiling, thinking I would praise his offer to be "gentle" on his baby brother.)
Me: "NOOOOO!!!"
6 y/o: "Hmmm. Okay. How 'bout a pile driver?" (Picture a 6 year old's most dead serious, inquisitive face.)
You can imagine my delight (read: sarcasm). When I told my husband later on about Wrestlemania, he mentioned he's been wanting to teach them the "camel clutch" and "figure four". Lovely.
So the 6 year old gets both his ability to read with MENSA comprehension from his dad, but also his desire to put his siblings in a sleeper hold. Oh, husbands… :-)
